A fire is started in the flashover simulator. 12 Firefighters are in the lower portion at this time.

 
Flash over occurs when a room bursts into flames from ceiling to floor. This simulator allows firefighters to see a flashover occur in a controlled enviroment. The flashover occurs in the front elevated portion of the simulator and the firefighters observe it from the lower section. Flames travel inches over the heads of the firefighters. It is a wonderful learning tool. The heat the firefighters experiance is equal to sitting in an oven at 450 degrees!Flashover simulator
