Brush Attack 756


2007 Ford F550 4X4

The newest addition to Brendletown's fleet, 756 responds first due to any woods, brush, or grass fires within the district. 756 also has medical equipment and responds to first responder calls within the district. It carries 400 gallons of water and has an auxillary engine driven pump rated at 300 gallons per minute. The unit has an around the pump foam system and a nozzle on the front of the unit which is controlled inside the cab. 756 is housed at station 2 on Conley Road.

2006 Artic Cat

This unit is used to rescue injured patients that may be off road. Recently, it was used to rescue a hunter who had fallen over a mile off road. This unit is also used on woods fires as a support unit moving supplies and personel around the fire line.

 
 
Pumper Tanker 759


2002 International / Pierce

759 is our first out engine from station 2 for structure fires and Motor Vehicle accidents with entrapment. 759 also responds to car fires, fire alarms, and other motor vehicle accidents. It has a pump rated at 1250 gallons per minute and its tank holds 1250 galons of water. A "Combi-Tool and power unit are assigned to this unit to assist in motor vehicle accidents were patients are trapped or pinned. This tool is similar to the common "Jaws-of-Life"

 
 
Pumper Tanker 751


1997 Freightliner / EEI

751 is housed at station 1 on US 64. It is first out on structure fires in district. 751 carries 1250 gallons of water and the pump is rated at 1000 gallons per minute.

 
 
Pumper Tanker 752


1992 GMC / EEI

752 is housed at Station 2. It responds first out to mutual aid requests to neighboring departments. 752 holds 1000 gallons of water and pumps at 1000 gallons per minute. It carrys 1200 foot of 4 inch supply hose. 752 is also the unit we respond to long distance requests for assistance. It has responded to the City of Asheville, Rutherford County, Spruce Pine, and several responses to McDowell County.

 
 
Service Tanker 753


1986 GMC Pierce

753 responds as both a tanker and a service company within our district. It is our secondary option for mutual aid requests outside our district.

 
 
Rescue 757


1985 Ford F350

Rescue 757 responds to all wreck calls within the district. It carries a wide range of extrication tools. AMKUS cutters, spreaders, rams, airbags, RES-Q jacks, saws-alls, air hammer, numerous handtools and wooden cribbing. It is a huge tool box on wheels.
